There’s less than one month until the flagship returns with Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 2. Today, the second trailer for the season has arrived. The trailer is filled to the brim with enticing clips of the upcoming sophomore outing of the series. This includes a look at Chief Engineer Pelia (Carol Kane) in action. Plus, we get our first official glimpse of the live-action Beta Shifters from Star Trek: Lower Decks, Ensigns Beckett Mariner (Tawny Newsome) and Bradward Boimler (Jack Quaid).

There are plenty of delicious additional details to be found in the second Strange New World season 2 trailer. Among them is confirmation that the Trekkie demand for “Moretegas” – more of Enterprise pilot Erica Ortegas (Melissa Navia) – has been answered.

The trailer also hints that we might be seeing some time travel this season. But this could also be a planet that looks like (or was even modeled after) ancient Earth. Either way, we have visual confirmation of the return of certain guest-starring characters, like James T. Kirk (Paul Wesley) and Captain Batel (Melanie Scrofano).

Furthermore, it appears that Strange New Worlds season 2 will feature plenty of action. Along with many explosions, this means Captain Christopher Pike (Anson Mount) will trade blows with an opponent in armor. Plus, Cadet Nyota Uhura (Celia Rose Gooding) survives a shuttle crash.

However, we can also look forward to more romance. This includes Nurse Christine Chapel (Jess Bush) locking lips with Spock (Ethan Peck) and an apparent continuation of Pike’s romance with Batel. And on top of all that drama, the implicit return of Una Chin-Riley (Rebecca Romijn) to the Enterprise is confirmed by her presence in a Starfleet uniform on the bridge.
