Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 2 has beamed onto DVD, Blu-ray and 4K UHD. The second season of SNW features some all-time great Star Trek episodes. These include the Star Trek: Lower Decks crossover “Those Old Scientists,” the musical episode “Subspace Rhapsody” and the Gorn-tastic cliffhanger finale, “Hegemony.”

In addition to the 10 all-star Strange New Worlds season 2 episodes, the DVD and Blu-ray sets include over two hours of special features. These include deleted scenes, featurettes and an alternate take of the “K-pop” (that’s Klingon pop) song from “Subspace Rhapsody.”

Obviously, picking up Strange New Worlds season 2 is compulsory. But the difficult decision will come when you must decide between the standard and limited edition steelbook. While the standard comes in DVD, Blu-ray and 4K UHD, the limited edition comes in 4K UHD and Blu-ray.

The limited edition discs include all the material from the standard edition. Also included is a classic-musical-style “Subspace Rhapsody” poster. It comes with a steel box, as well as four character magnets, so you can choose between Christopher Pike (Anson Mount), Nyota Uhura (Celia Rose Gooding), Spock (Ethan Peck), Number One (Rebecca Romijn) and Nurse Chapel (Jess Bush) for your cover.

Strange New Worlds season 2 also stars Christina Chong (La’An Noonien-Singh), Melissa Navia (Erica Ortegas), Babs Olusanmokun (Doctor M’Benga) and Carol Kane (Pelia). Recurring guest stars include Melanie Scrofano (Marie Batel), Dan Jeannotte (Sam Kirk) and Paul Wesley (James T. Kirk).
