In our previously assigned reading, we learned about two of the adult actors appearing in the upcoming Star Trek: Starfleet Academy series on Paramount+. But now we also know three cadets who will join the of the class of 3100 (year may vary). Read on to learn all about the first three actors who will be matriculating at Starfleet Academy..

Starfleet Academy Cadets

The three actors who will play cadets in Starfleet Academy are Kerrice Brooks, Bella Shepard and George Hawkins. Brooks is an actor and professional dancer who will make her onscreen debut later this year in My Old Ass. In her capacity as a dancer, she has worked with Billie Eilish, Lil’ Nas and others.

Meanwhile, Shepard was previously the lead in the Paramount+ series Wolf Pack and the series Two Sides. She also appeared in a lead guest role on Orange is the Black‘s final season.

Rounding out the cadets is Hawkins, who has appeared in Tell Me EverythingBoiling Point and Gassed Up. He recently graduated from London’s Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts.

Little is known about the characters the three actors are playing, aside from the fact that they will be Starfleet Academy cadets. They join two previously announced actors on the project. The first is Holly Hunter, who will be playing the Academy’s captain and chancellor. The other is Paul Giamatti, who is playing an undisclosed villain. Just a random reminder: we still have no idea what the Klingons might be up to in the 32nd century.

Although sparse, the details surrounding Starfleet Academy are steadily beginning to take shape. It will be set in the 32nd century timeline introduced by Discovery Season 3. The setting will be both in space and on Earth (the Academy is located in San Francisco). And finally, the show boasts the largest set ever constructed for a Star Trek show. This is located at Pinewood Studios Toronto.

Starfleet Academy will debut on Paramount+, where it joins other ongoing shows like Star Trek: Strange New Worlds and the upcoming special event movie, Star Trek: Section 31, starring Michelle Yeoh. Will you be matriculating when the series beams in?
