A clip from Star Trek: Prodigy Season 1 Part 2 was released during Star Trek Day 2022. Prodigy features Brett Gray as Dal R’El, Ella Purnell as Gwynn, Rylee Alazraqui as Rok-Tahk, Jason Mantzoukas as Jankom Pog, Angus Imrie as Zero and Dee Bradley Baker as Murf. Bonnie Gordon plays the ship’s computer, and Kate Mulgrew plays Hologram and original Janeway.
Star Trek Day takes place on September 8 and celebrates the anniversary of the premiere of Star Trek: The Original Series on CBS in 1966. Gray and Mulgrew appeared on a panel moderated by Tawny Newsome to celebrate. During the panel, Mulgrew introduced a clip of the upcoming second part of Star Trek: Prodigy Season 1.

The clip sees the familiar crew of the Protostar wearing unfamiliar costumes. Standing on the bridge alongside them is Thadiun Okana. Mulgrew stated William Campbell will reprise the role he originated on Star Trek: The Next Generation. In this clip, he’s wearing an eyepatch, just as the character did in a cameo on Star Trek: Lower Decks.
As the clip continues, the Protostar is pursued by the real Janeway. However, dialogue reveals a direct link would infect the real Janeway’s ship with “the living construct.” Plus, it seems like Murf may have hatched. It appears the crew of the Protostar has their hands full.
