Star Trek: Lower Decks Season 5 Clip

The clip updates us on D’Vana’s status at the conclusion of the Lower Decks Season 4 finale, “Old Friends, New Planets.” In that episode, D’Vana made a deal with her sister, D’Erika Tendi (Ariel Winter), to return to working with her family in the Orion Syndicate. This was so as to acquire a battleship necessary to rescue Beckett Mariner (Tawny Newsome).

Fortunately, the rescue was a success. But shortly after our five heroes were reunited aboard the U.S.S. Cerritos, an Orion vessel arrived. While D’Vana has been a devoted Starfleet officer, she nevertheless had to comply with the terms of her agreement. However, the confidence she’d developed in Starfleet was clearly going to be an invaluable asset in this next phase.

Meanwhile, the new clip could be the cold open for one of the Lower Decks Season 5 episodes. D’Vana is shown taking part in an Orion raid on a Collector’s ship somewhere in the Beta Quadrant. However, her morality hasn’t been eradicated with her return to the Syndicate. Still, a pirate’s gotta pirate. Theft.
