Sadly, Lower Decks season 1’s DVD and Blu-ray release did not include any audio commentaries. However, the set for Lower Decks season 2 included commentaries on four episodes

The first commentary for Lower Decks season 3 will appear on the season opener, “Grounded.” It will feature the return of Lower Decks commentary alums Jonathan Frakes (William Riker), Tawny Newsome (Beckett Mariner), and showrunner and series creator Mike McMahan.

The next commentary will appear on episode 6, “Hear All, Trust Nothing.” This will feature guest stars and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine stars Nana Visitor (Kira Nerys) and Armin Shimerman (Quark). This commentary will also feature the return of Newsome, McMahan, and Jack Quaid (Bradward Boimler), who each appeared in season 2 commentaries. It will further include the commentary debut of Noël Wells (D’Vana Tendi) and Eugene Cordero (Samanthan Rutherford). The full Beta Shift complement!

We dream of commentaries on every Lower Decks episode. However, fifty percent commentary coverage is higher than any other recently released Trek season. What will Frakes reveal about the Titan in the Lower Decks season 3 commentaries? April can’t arrive soon enough.
