Star Trek Renewals and Cancelations

Currently, Strange New Worlds is filming its upcoming third season. The live-action spinoff of Star Trek: Discovery has captured the hearts of Trekkies of all ages. It follows the crew of the USS Enterprise under the command of Captain Christopher Pike (Anson Mount). In its most recent season, Strange New Worlds boldly went where no Star Trek has gone before. Speaking of Lower Decks, the series debuted in August 2020. The animated comedy swiftly became a fan favorite. It follows the crew of the overlooked USS Cerritos. A California class vessel under the command of Captain Carol Freeman (Dawnn Lewis), the series focuses on the ship’s Lower Deckers. This includes Beckett Mariner (Tawny Newsome), Bradward Boimler (Jack Quaid), D’Vana Tendi (Noël Wells), Samanthan Rutherford (Eugene Cordero) and T’Lyn (Gabrielle Ruiz).

Furthermore, there is still hope that we haven’t seen the last of our beloved Cali class crew. In a statement posted to Star Trek.com, Mike McMahan and Alex Kurtzman stated, “We remain hopeful that even beyond season five, Mariner, Boimler, Tendi, Rutherford and the whole Cerritos crew will live on with new adventures.”
