Square Enix has brought us some exciting news today. They have finally announced the release date for People Can Fly‘s RPG shooter. Outriders will be releasing on February 2, 2021! It will release on both current generation and next-generation consoles. Those who purchase the title on current consoles will be able to upgrade to the next-gen. Those on PlayStation 4 will need to have a disc drive PlayStation 5 and the Xbox One players can upgrade to Xbox Series X with Smart Delivery.
The Outriders announcement also came with a brand-new trailer. It is action-packed from beginning to end. Through a narrator, we learn about an anomaly that should have killed humankind but actually altered many of them instead. Using these new abilities, they will guide people into to future and protect what is theirs. Players will take on one of three classes and will be able to upgrade different elements as they level up.

The trailer gives us a visual of these classes as well. We get to watch as the pyromancers, tricksters and devastators rip across the battlefield. Outriders is available in single player or groups of up to three players. So we have the choice to either travel across the world of Enoch alone or make the trek with friends. Well, I can say now that I will be bringing friends. And the best part is those friends don’t have to be on the same console as me! Outriders will be feature full crossplay across all platforms!
Outriders is set to release on February 2, 2021 on PC through Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X. It is also set to release on Google Stadia later in 2021.
