Everything is Fine

We are kicking off our spooky WEBTOON series list with one of our favorite ones, Mike Birchall‘s Everything is Fine. Everything in this series is normal. Sam and Maggie are a normal couple. They live in a normal house situated in a normal neighborhood. There is absolutely nothing strange about them or their heads. And their dog? Super sweet. Clearly, everything here is fine. Absolutely fine. And it’s the perfect series to get lost in to help celebrate the spooky season.

Everything is Fine updates every Monday and can be read here!

Nonesuch

Our next series is The Bitsy Artist‘s Nonesuch. Welcome to the town of your dreams, if your dreams are really nightmares packed with clones of yourself. Connor and Bridget are trapped in the town of Nonesuch and trying to find a way out. But the more they interact with the clones, the more the clones begin to act like them. The longer Connor and Bridget are there, the more they realize they may know each other, but they know very little about themselves. It’s a twisty mysterious adventure you need to go on.

School Bus Graveyard

We can’t talk about spooky WEBTOON series without mentioning Red‘s School Bus Graveyard. Ashlyn is a loner in high school with no friends. That is until she gains a whole group of them after one fateful visit to a haunted house that causes them to see monsters at night. We love a good monster/supernatural thriller but tie in the found family trope along with teens being major badasses, and you have all of our attention!

BRAIN Anthology

Sometimes the best stories are told by the collective. And that is exactly what BRAIN Anthology is all about. This is a series of mind-bending stories to disturbing tales of our most primal fears. We guarantee that almost all of these will have you up late at night with the lights on. It’s the perfect place to drop in and read shorter scary stories to tie you over while waiting for some of these others to update during the week.

All of Us Are Dead

Would it be the spooky season without zombies? No. And what better series to dive into the flesh-eating monsters than Joo Dong-geun‘s All of Us Are Dead? The students at Hyosan High School must band together to face off against the monsters when a deadly virus emerges and rips through society. They are going to have to put everything on the line in order to survive another day. It’s a great horror series, and when you are done reading it, you can check out the Netflix adaptation!

Hellbound

Speaking of series that have been adapted into Netflix series, we have Choi Gyu-Seok and Yeon Sang-ho‘s Hellbound. Repent or face hell on Earth. When apparitions start to appear in Seoul, a new religious group begins claiming they are connected to God, condemning people that need to live more righteously. Detective Jin is assigned to investigate the latest incident, but he struggles to deal with some terrifying personal matters.

Elena

Some horror stories are best when you don’t know much heading in. And that is especially true for Jorge Jaramillo‘s Elena. The description simply reads, “web graphic novel about a larger than life love story.” This mysteriously thrilling tale is best enjoyed with a warm blanket so you can hide from the pages when it gets too scary. And maybe don’t read it right before bed?

DEAD DAYS

We stand by the idea that zombies are some of the best spooky WEBTOON series content out there. This is why we love Dey‘s DEAD DAYS. This story kicks off on the fourth day of the zombie outbreak and is sometimes downright terrifying. Yes, zombies are shambling about, but this series focuses heavily on one’s will to live, human instincts and how selfish we can truly be. It’s a great series for fans of The Walking Dead, The Last of Us or any zombie story that dives into the human side of these terrible events.

Shiloh

It is no lie that we are obsessed with Kit Trace and Kate Flynn‘s thriller WEBTOON Shiloh. It has incredible characters, a mysterious yet enthralling world and the perfect about of horror to make the series spooky but not overly scary. When the Marked Man strikes again, rookie officer Callahan and her partner are first on the scene. But not everything is as it seems, and it takes them into the dangerous depths of their world, and the truth of what is going on might be even more deadly than they thought.

Roach

Our final spooky WEBTOON series of the year goes to Nowone and Right Hand’s Roach. In the dead of night, you shed your skin and become renewed – and repulsive. Taesu Im goes from terminally ill family man to the most reviled person on the planet. But how did he get here? What has turned him into a half-man, half-cockroach? And how does he change back? It’s creepy, it’s crawly, and it’s utterly terrifying, so, of course, we love it.
