“Be careful what you wish for, Parker.” Marvel fans, the time has finally arrived! On Monday, Sony unveiled the highly anticipated teaser trailer for Marvel’s Spider-Man: No Way Home at CinemaCon!

After a long and equally arduous wait, Spidey lovers have been treated to a three-minute video showcasing the complexities of the multiverse and the repercussions for Peter’s actions.

This just in: Everyone knows Spider-Man’s civilian identity! Peter Parker (Tom Holland) is finding it difficult to navigate his newfound fame. So, he winds up on the doorstep of the Sanctum Sanctorum to ask his BFF, Dr. Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch), for assistance. Despite Wong’s (Benedict Wong) protests, Strange decides to help Peter by casting a spell.

The aforementioned spell will erase everyone’s memories of Peter being Spider-Man, including MJ (Zendaya), Ned (Jacob Batalon) and Aunt May (Marisa Tomei). Of course, the spell goes terribly awry, causing the multiverse to splinter.

Then, the trailer shows Peter and Strange dealing with the consequences of the botched spell. Stunning visuals a la Dr. Strange bring me back to 2016, a somewhat simpler time. We get a glimpse of Spidey’s fancy new suit, Happy (Jon Favreau) under fire, Green Goblin’s bomb, Electro, and, finally, the return of Doc Ock (Alfred Molina), who we haven’t seen since 2004’s Spider-Man 2.

As our pal Loki would say, it’s “glorious.” I, for one, am wishing I had a time machine right about now.

Spider-Man: No Way Home stars Tom Holland, Zendaya, Benedict Cumberbatch, Marisa Tomei, Jacob Batalon, Benedict Wong, J.K. SimmonsJamie Foxx and Alfred Molina. Watch what happens when your wish takes a twisted turn when Spider-Man: No Way Home swings into theaters on Friday, December 17.
