The next installment of the Spider-Man franchise has found a new cast member. Sadie Sink will join everyone’s favorite webslinger in his next adventure. Read on to find out what else we know.

The Story So Far
So far, Marvel has been tight-lipped about Tom Holland’s fourth Spider-Man film. Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings filmmaker Destin Daniel Cretton is taking over as director after Jon Watts helmed the first three installations. It’s safe to assume Holland is coming back to the titular role, but other cast members are currently up in the air.
The stakes, however, are high. Spider-Man: No Way Home ended with Peter Parker erasing everyone’s memories of Spider-Man to protect his friends. This leaves things wide open for an entirely new cast to join the franchise.

Sadie Sink’s Potential Role
Sadie Sink is best known for her breakout role in Netflix’s Stranger Things. She first appeared as Max Mayfield in Season 2 and quickly became a fan favorite. With the final season airing later this year, her star is only rising. Sink’s next role is in the Searchlight musical O’Dessa, which drops on Hulu later this month.
In their exclusive, Deadline theorized that Sink might play Jean Grey, aka Phoenix, of X-Men fame. With the Multiverse involved, however, there’s also a chance she’ll play a variant of MJ, another important redhead in the Marvel universe.
