Sonya Balmores, known for her role as Auran in Marvel‘s Inhumans, has joined the cast for Amazon‘s upcoming young adult horror series I Know What You Did Last Summer. The news was shared exclusively by Deadline. It will be a modern take on the 1997 slasher film and the 1973 novel by Lois Duncan. They aren’t changing much of the story itself. It will still follow a group of teenagers stalked by a mysterious killer a year after a fatal accident.

Balmores role is being kept tightly under wraps. She is joining Madison Iseman, Brianne Tju, Ezekiel Goodman, Ashley Moore, Sebastian Amoruso, Fiona Rene, Cassie Beck, Brooke Bloom and Bill Heck. None of the roles have been shared, so it’s hard to guess which role Balmores will be playing. We know that she will be a recurring character, so expect to see quite a bit of her.

I Know What You Did Last Summer is produced by Amazon Studios and Sony Pictures TV. Sara Goodman is serving as writer and executive producing alongside Shay Hatten, Neal H. Moritz, Pavun Shetty, Rob Hackett, Michael Clear and Erik Feig. Filming for the series is set to begin later this month in Hawaii.
