In a blink or you miss it joke, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse included a lot of meta merchandising. One of those items was a Christmas album, featuring Spider-Man singing through the holidays. And if you stayed through the credits, you could’ve heard a bit of one of the tracks. Well, now thanks to Sony (with thanks to Film Music Reporter for pointing it out) we’ll be able to hear more songs from that album. Hooray!
According to FMR, Sony will release 5 songs on an EP that will release digitally tomorrow! Here’s the track-list:
1 – Joy to the World – Shameik Moore (1:40)
2 – Spidey-Bells (A Hero’s Lament) – Chris Pine (2:41)
3 – Deck the Halls – Jake Johnson (2:05)
4 – Up on the House Top – Chris Pine (1:45)
5 – The Night Before Christmas 1967 (Spoken Word) – Jorma Taccone (2:45)

Immediately need to note that there’s a big missed opportunity to include Hailee Steinfeld, the voice of Gwen Stacey. She is a pop star afterall. But! In order to kick off the excitement for the album, Sony has released two tracks on YouTube, “Spidey-Bells” sung with full force by Chris Pine and “Deck the Halls” by Jake Johnson. Pine voiced the Peter Parker in Miles Morales universe. Johnson was an older Peter Parker from another dimension. As for Jorma Taccone, well he was the voice of Green Goblin plus a secret voice.
The Christmas album was one of my favorite jokes from the film so I’m so happy they’re releasing it. Chris Pine is such a treasure, everyone. It’s SO funny and such a fun thing for fans to listen to. And right on time! Check out the two songs below and let us know what you think. Be sure to see Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse in theaters now!
