“No matter how dark it gets, there’s always good in the world.” ~Some Good News
The seventh episode of John Krasinski‘s Some Good News is all about love. Host John Krasinski put out a call last week on social media to send stories about love during quarantine and of course, SGN fans did not disappoint.

This week, SGN’s opening credits are hijacked by Krasinski’s wife Emily Blunt. It’s a very cute bit with a down low funny look at how the quarantine can affect event the loveliest of couples. Krasinski pulls himself together though and launches into good news happening around the world including the Perry family who found a creative way for their daughter to perform a song from the musical Wicked for their neighbors and a young girl Emerson who writes the most creative letters. It’s pretty awesome.
Also included in this week’s Some Good News were super fun TikTok Olympic videos and of course, those three sisters that blew up the Internet this week with their dance moves done to James Brown. They are truly amazing. Emma Stone did the “pretty good” weather this, as well.

Krasinski then jumped into Some Good News’ theme for the week, Love in a Time of Quarantine. I won’t spoil anything here except to say that the first video launched me immediately into happy tears. It’s a fantastic montage that will leave you feeling, ‘We got this Human Race!’
There was also a lovely montage of quarantine weddings. There are so many going on right now! One couple, John Lush and Susan Hedrick sent in a video of their proposal which mimics Krasinski’s character Jim’s proposal to Pam on The Office. So, Krasinski calls them up and puts them on the spot. Once again, I won’t spoil the next few moments of the video for you but I will say that Zac Brown shows up to serenade the couple and almost the entire The Office cast reunites to recreate the dancing at Pam and Jim’s wedding. This part includes Steve Carrell, Jenna Fischer, Rainn Wilson, Angela Kinsey, B.J. Novak, Brian Baumgartner, Creed Bratton, Ed Helms, Ellie Kemper, Kate Flannery, Mindy Kaling, Oscar Nunez, and Phyllis Smith. That’s incredible.
Stay tuned for the TikTok end credits by the incredibly talented @williamtgoldsmith.
Watch the video. Cry cathartic tears. And, thank you John Krasinski for sharing Some Good News every week.
