All aboard the Engine Eternal! On Wednesday, TNT set a premiere date for Season Three of Snowpiercer, and we’re so close to the oodles and oodles of dystopian drama I can almost taste it!

The sci-fi thriller wrapped its second season in March with a massive cliffhanger. Layton (Daveed Diggs) and Ruth (Alison Wright) plotted to take the reins of Snowpiercer from the duplicitous Mr. Wilford (Sean Bean) with the help of Javier (Roberto Urbina) and Alexandra (Rowan Blanchard). After our heroes took Miss Audrey (Lena Hall) hostage, Josie (Katie McGuinness) destroyed the Aquarium car, severing the engine room from the remaining 1,023 cars.

Layton, Alexandra, Bess (Mickey Sumner), Josie and Bennett (Iddo Goldberg) utilize their separation from the rest of Snowpiercer to search for Melanie (Jennifer Connelly), only to find the lone research station she once inhabited empty. Thankfully, TVLine revealed Connelly’s return for Season Three.

It also appears Javier met his demise; however, this Deadline interview with Executive Producer Becky Clements tells us we’ll be “surprised.”

Archie Panjabi boards Season Three as Asha, while Cheslea Harris (Sykes) and Mike O’Malley (Roche) are now series regulars for the third season.

In short, s**t hits the fan, and I can’t wait to see where Season Three takes us.
