How about that season finale, Snowpiercer fans? Season 1 ended on a massive cliffhanger while simultaneously setting up Season 2 for what’s sure to be an intriguing story line. As if that wasn’t enough to sate our appetites, TNT promptly delivered a Season 2 teaser shortly thereafter. Said teaser was shared by the official Snowpiercer Twitter account last night.
Now, we see the occupants of the Engine Eternal adjusting to the shocking news that Mr. Wilford is still alive and kicking. An eerie version of “Row Row Row Your Boat” plays in the background. Layton (Daveed Diggs) asserts that they won’t let Wilford seize Snowpiercer. There’s a shot of Melanie (Jennifer Connelly) throwing a retort at, presumably, Wilford stating that she won’t “give him anything.” Till (Mickey Sumner) is standing before what appears to be an alter. Ruth (Alison Wright) looks on in wide-eyed terror. There’s another shot of Layton launching into the air to gain the upper hand in a fight. Pike (Steven Ogg) appears poised and ready to kill.
Finally, in the last shot, we catch a glimpse of the man himself — Wilford, played by none other than Sean Bean. “I came back to take what’s mine,” he claims, all sinister-esque and villainous. Bean, who’s famous for portraying characters that die in oftentimes brutal and tragic means, will now be playing a man that essentially “came back from the dead.” Let’s start a new trend, folks. Make Bean play characters that live again!
