The women of SNL continue to slay their digital shorts. This week, in honor of the spookiest holiday, they give us a window into a girls’ night out on Halloween. A Girls’ Halloween is another in a long line of shorts that tells the truth in a way that just hurts. It hurts so good.
Kate McKinnon gets a lot of attention these days. As she should. She’s brilliant and hilarious. But, I’ve been continually impressed with Aidy Bryant, Cecily Strong and Vanessa Bayer, and particularly in this format. They are so funny!
I’m not going to say that I recognize any or all portions of this story. It does not remind me of college or my 20’s. In fact, I have absolutely no reference point to sitting in the street to fix my shoe or drunk-crying my super cute make-up off. I have never attempted to look cute and completely ruin all illusions of doing so. Nope. I’ve got nothing for you.
Take a look and see if you don’t know anything about this.
