Whoa.

Wow.

They did it.

They actually did it.

They announced Ghost Rider just a couple months ago at San Diego Comic Con, announced casting on after that and confidently promoted the hell out of the arrival of the Spirit of Vengeance. Some of the pictures have been great, some of them have been a bit off, but finally, tonight, on the Season Four Premiere, we got our first real look at how Ghost Rider looks on ABC’s hit Marvel series, Agents of SHIELD.

The consensus seems to be — Bad Ass and F##k yes.

They really nailed it. The effects were great, the attitude, the spirit, the fiery grit and flaming car — for a CGI effect on network television, they really got it right.

And though Ghost Rider (Gabriel Luna) was a focus of the episode, they were still able to fit in quite a bit of story regarding Quake (Chloe Bennet), her mission while being AWOL from SHIELD, how the AIDA story will start to feature in the season and Fitz and Simmon’s new relationship. Not to mention how Director Coulson (Clark Gregg) is now Agent Coulson, once more, and that they were working against the new director of SHIELD to bring in one of their own.

With that being said, we’ve got a sneak peek at next week’s episode, “Meet the New Boss,” which sees Quake doing her best to understand that Ghost Rider sold his soul “to the Devil” and threatening him by the simple fact that she knows who he is. As he tells her, “You know who I am. Which is a problem — a problem that has to go away.”

But you don’t have to take our word for it. Watch the trailer for yourself!
