The Speed Force giveth, The Speed Force taketh away.
Poor Barry Allen. Once more, has had the Speed Force taken away from him, rendering him as “normal” once more. And now, not only that, but Wally West (Keynan Lonsdale) now knows that his father is close to The Flash. But, worse than that, though Barry Allen sacrificed his Speed Force to save Wally West, he lost Kaitlin when Zoom kidnapped her.
In this sneak peek at next week’s episode of The Flash, “Back to Normal,” we see a super strong meta-human named Griffin Grey wreaking havoc across Central City and with no Flash to stop him. Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) rightly assume that the world will soon realize that he’s not there to stop these threats and keep them all safe, that the guardian angel of Central City is no more.
Griffin Grey, in the comics, is a young man and friend to Bart Allen when he receives his powers of super strength. However, he quickly learns that his powers come with the side effect of very quickly aging him. This drives him from being an ally to a nemesis as he becomes increasingly more desperate to save himself from his condition. It seems from this trailer that they may be going for a similar storyline for the character in the series.
A meta-human with super strength named Griffin Grey (guest star Haig Sutherland) mistakes Harry (Tom Cavanagh) for Earth-1 Harrison Wells and kidnaps him, demanding that Wells cure him from his current condition. Realizing another brilliant Wells could help track Griffin’s location, Barry asks Jesse (guest star Violett Beane) to help. Meanwhile, Wally (Keiynan Lonsdale) corners Joe (Jesse L. Martin) about The Flash.
