Looks like we got ourselves a new cast for X-Men: Apocalypse! Bryan Singer tweeted out just a few minutes ago that the new team of young mutants will be
Alex Shipp (Ray Donovan) as Storm
Sophie Turner (Game of Thrones) as Jean Grey
Tye Sheridan (Tree of Life) as Cyclops!
Simon Kinberg has already gone on record to say that the film takes place in the 1980’s, so we’ve all been expecting some re-casting for some time. Seeing actors this young also gives us a bit of insight as to what exactly we can expect from the film, most likely seeing a group of younger mutants learning to deal with their mutant abilities, much like what they did in Matthew Vaughn’s X-Men: First Class.

X-Men: Apocalypse is scheduled for release on May 27, 2016.
