Well this is massively disappointing. According to Deadline, the anti-heroine Marvel film based on Black Cat and Silver Sable has been pushed back. Silver & Black has been slapped around by Sony for quite some time now so this could either be a good or bad sign. So what’s going on?

Deadline is reporting that Silver & Black is missing from the February 8th, 2019 release date from the entertainment company. Instead there’s a Tom Hanks WWII film called Greyhound filling the slot. The film has apparently gone back into production and doesn’t have a release date any longer while they work. It’s unclear exactly why it’s gone back into production, but one can assume they’re trying to make the film even better. They really need to do justice to these characters!

When we last heard of the project, they had just added two female writers. It was not made known if the script by Lindsey Beer and Geneva Robertson-Dworet will be the final script or if they’ll scrap that one as well but I’m geniuinely hoping they keep a large percentage of the production team remains female and female aligning. I just geniunely want to see this film and really hope Sony doesn’t muck it up. We’ll keep our eyes peeled for more news as it develops.
