In an interview with IGN, Stephen Amell and Emily Bett Rickards, stars of CW’s hit series, Arrow, along with EP Wendy Mericle, spoke about rumors that John Constantine would appear on their show during Season Four. It’s been no secret that Amell, Marc Guggenheim and others fought tooth and nail to keep Constantine on the air once it’s fate came in to question. Amell even promised to make a cameo on the show if that would help in any way. The series bounced around a few other networks once NBC gave it the axe, but it failed to land anywhere.

So now the good people at Arrow are doing their best to at least find a home for the character, played by Matt Ryan, in the form of a guest spot. With the recently found mysticism on the show, through Ra’s Al Ghul, and the upcoming mysticism of season four, to be found in Damien Dahrk, played by Neal McDonough, a character like John Constantine would fit right in.

As Mericle says, “Yeah, we really wan to do it. It’s something we’ve been talking to DC about and it’s just a question of some political things, but also the actor’s schedule. We’re trying to work it out, but we don’t know 100 percent if it’s going to happen.” She later added, “But we’re really optimistic and we would love to have him.”

Amell jumped in saying, “Fingers crossed.”
