The Basics
Let’s get down to the basics. Sheepy: A Short Adventure is a pixel art-based platformer with a deep narrative focus. The controls for this game are platform-based and intuitive, so the gameplay style is easy to pick up immediately. I was impressed with the responsiveness of the character and the tightness of the controls. Eventually, your sheep will start adding new abilities that are also easy to understand without any overbearing exposition from the game.
While Sheepy: A Short Adventure is a platformer at its core, the story elements are where it really shines. The game allows you to explore the world and discover the touching story at your own pace. So, even though the experience is short, as the title suggests, I never felt rushed and could enjoy the meticulously curated atmosphere.

Why Should I Play?
Why should you play Sheepy: A Short Adventure? This incredibly polished and deep experience should be in everyone’s download queue. The difficulty of the jumps and reaction needed are very approachable, so don’t shy away if you aren’t a major platform gamer. The impressive controls and surprisingly touching story aren’t the only thing this game does right. Everything from the artwork to the music was made with care, and it comes through in the final product.
