The beloved animated series She-Ra is coming to an end after this next season. Entertainment Weekly announced the exclusive news from showrunner Noelle Stevenson. The Netflix original series currently has four seasons available for streaming with the fifth and final one releasing in May.
Stevenson shared that this is not unexpected and members of the cast knew from the beginning how many episodes they would have for She-Ra. They knew how to time the story beats in order to tie up everyone’s arcs in the end. Season four tied up quite a few storylines that have been brewing since the beginning in preparation for the final season.
The official summary for She-Ra season five is: “In season 5, the ruthless Horde Prime has arrived and without the Sword of Protection and She-Ra, the Rebellion are facing their toughest challenge yet. In this epic conclusion unexpected adversaries are confronted and relationships are tested, broken and changed forever. Will Adora and the Princesses of Power be able to save their planet? Or will the universe succumb to the evil might of Horde Prime before love can conquer hate?”
She-Ra season five will hit Netflix on May 15, 2020.
