Obviously, our title is a bit hyperbolic; we’re just very excited about this game: LEGO Marvel Superheroes 2, a follow-up to their wildly successful video game from 2013.
From the small teaser, there’s not too much to tell: it’s just Baby Groot running from flames followed by the promise of a full trailer on May 23rd. However, they also released some poster art for the game and THAT is where the action is. We’ve embedded it below for your enjoyment.
Just look at it. Marvel at it’s greatness and just how obscure some of these characters are! Obviously, there’s Rocket and Baby Groot there on the left, with Black Panther chilling in a tree above them, but it’s the rest of the characters that are crazy! Right in the middle is Spider-Man 2099 — who is the Spider-Man from the future. Above him is a character commonly referred to as Spider-Gwen, but she calls herself Spider-Woman. With her in that top panel is Captain Marvel and Doctor Strange! And then, of course, we see Hulk as a gladiator from Planet Hulk a.k.a. Sakaar, as well as Captain America as a cowboy — which we’re not exactly sure about…
And then, in the background behind Spider-Man 2099, we see a villainous face grimacing at us — Kang the Conquerer!
