Sense8

After a long wait, Sense8 fans finally have their first glimpse at the series finale on Netflix.  The finale trailer has just arrived!

Sense8 follows a cluster of eight individuals from around the world who share a birthday, a mental connection, and a close bond.  Of course there is a secret to their connection and big bad behind it all. BPO is that big bad and at the end of season two, they had taken one of the eight, Wolfgang (Max Riemelt).  At the end of season two, the other seven members of the cluster, took a key member of BPO in efforts to find Wolfgang. And then Neflix cancelled the show.

Sense8 fans threw a fit when Netflix announced that they would not be renewing the show in 2017.  After a petition and lots of angry Twitter rants,  Netflix gave in and announced that they would produce a two hour series finale for the show.

There is so much love and acceptance in this show.  All of these people in the cluster come from diverse backgrounds, cultures, religions, and other identies.  Fans are particularly proud of the LGBTQ representation in the show that includes a transgender character.  Sense8 is one of the first shows to address the oppression and acceptance of diverse people.

In the finale trailer, the cluster put the pieces together to find out who has Wolfgang and go after them.  An individual called The Chairman threatens their bond by putting Wolfgang’s life in danger.  Led by Will (Brian J. Smith) it appears that the cluster is working with other clusters to stop BPO for good.

Sense8 was created by Lilly and Lana Wachowski and J. Michael Straczynski Doona Bae, Jamie Clayton, Tina Desai, Tuppence Middleton, Miguel Angel Silvestre, Toby Onwumere, Smith and Riemelt star as the cluster. Watch the trailer below.

Sense8 premieres on June 8 on Netflix.
