It’s bittersweet when one of our favorite series comes to an end, so it goes without saying that I will truly miss Netflix’s Castlevania. But it sure is going out with a bang, guys! Two weeks ago, we got the release date for season four and the first trailer giving us a peek into what we can expect in the final season. But today, Netflix really outdid itself. In what will probably be the last trailer we will ever see for the series (unless they drop one right before release), we are taken back to where this hellish ride first started.

RELATED: Invincible Will Return for 2 More Seasons

The trailer sees Trevor Belmont (Richard Armitage) and Sypha Belnades (Alejandra Reynoso) return to the beginning, where someone seems to be trying to bring Dracula (Graham McTavish) back from the dead. Clearly, we agree with Trevor and this is a terrible idea. Nonetheless, someone is trying to do it. Alucard (James Callis) seems to be having a better time this season as we see him join forces with a village to fend off attacks from the night creatures.

While the Castlevania trailer doesn’t explicitly share it, those night creatures might be the creations of Hector (Theo James), who is under the control of Lenore (Jessica Brown Findlay) and her sister’s Carmilla (Jamie Murray), Striga (Ivana Milicevic) and Morana (Yasmine Al Massri). Carmilla looks like she is ready to take over the entire world with these night creatures. But she isn’t alone in her need for world conquest since it’s clear Isaac (Adetokumboh M’Cormack) has the same idea. I can’t wait for all four of these stories to come crashing together in one big battle at the end.

And as the entire trailer comes to a close with an ominous shadow-looking creature which I am certain is Death himself. Excuse me for a moment while I scream how excited I am for this. Okay. That’s better. This trailer for season four of Castlevania looks amazing. I tell myself every time that the animation and the homage they pay to the original video game franchise can’t get better. Clearly, I’m wrong and I have never been happier to admit that. This looks amazing and even sounds amazing. We are certainly in for one hell of a final ride.

The fourth and final season of Castlevania will air on Netflix on May 13, 2021. We have shared the trailer below for your viewing pleasure. Check it out and let us know how excited you are for this final season! Haven’t caught up on the other seasons? Binge them here!
