The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon is set to premiere this fall. We’ve been seeing teasers of the new show during The Walking Dead: Dead City broadcast. Now, AMC presents the first full trailer for the series at San Diego Comic Con.
Norman Reedus returns as Daryl Dixon as he sails the Atlantic, looking for something. After being shipwrecked, he washes up on the French shores and into some trouble. He is cared for by nuns, including Isabelle (Clémence Poésy). She believes he was sent to them to be the messenger to deliver a boy named Laurent (Louis Puech Scigliuzzi). Deliver him to who and where? But Isabelle says Laurant will lead the revival of humanity. That’s not known yet. But what we do know is there is a group of people who want Daryl dead. And we don’t know why. At the end of the trailer, Daryl speaks into a radio. He says if he doesn’t make it back he wants ‘him’ to know he tried. ‘Him’ obviously being Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln).
Also announced at the panel is that TWD: Daryl Dixon and TWD: Dead City were both renewed for a season two. Dan McDermott, president of entertainment and AMC Studios for AMC Networks, said “We can’t wait to bring Dead City fans back to the epicenter of Manhattan for more zip-lining action with Maggie and Negan,” he added. “And, ahead of its debut, we’re thrilled to double down on Daryl as we bring the apocalypse to France, transforming Notre Dame, Pont du Gard and other iconic locales into an apocalyptic landscape unlike anything we’ve seen before.”
The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon premieres on Sunday September 10 on AMC.
