Warner Bros released the first trailer for Shazam! Fury of the Gods at San Diego Comic Con. The sequel has new villains, and even a dragon. This one is all about Family … just like Fast and the Furious.

As we know, an ancient wizard transferred his power to a young Billy Batson (Asher Angel) in the first film. That power was highly sought out and then distributed among Billy’s foster family. In the sequel more ancients arrive to take that power away from Billy and his family. And Billy is feeling alone in the fight yet again.
Shazam (Zachary Levi) is filling inadequate as a superhero. He cites, the Flash, Aquaman, and Batman as amazing. And then there’s him. He says his siblings are all out doing their own thing. So he feels alone again.
Enter new the Daughters of Atlas, Hespera (Helen Mirren) and Calypso (Lucy Liu). They track down superhero family to take the power back. This may be the biggest battle yet. The former Shazam (Djimon Hounsou) returns to mentor Billy and his siblings in their fight. If they can get it together before the Daughters of Atlas destroy the world.
There is also a shot of Rachel Zegler’s character who has lights coming out of her hands. Her character is unknown at this time. I’m sure there will be more on that coming soon.
Shazam! Fury of the Gods also stars Jack Dylan Grazer, Adam Brody, Grace Caroline Currey, Faithe Herman, Meagan Good, Ian Chen, Ross Butler, Jovan Armand, D. J. Cotrona, Cooper Andrews, and Marta Milans. Watch the trailer below.
