Raising an Antichrist daughter isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. Thankfully, the cast and creators of FXX’s upcoming animated comedy Little Demon made a pitstop at SDCC 2022 to show us the way. Little Demon follows a mother and daughter who move to Delaware. The father of said daughter is Satan, making her the Antichrist.

So, who joined the demonic festivities? Cast members Danny DeVito (Satan), Aubrey Plaza (Laura, the mother) and Lucy DeVito (Chrissy, the daughter) join creators Darcy Fowler, Seth Kirschner, Kieran Valla and executive producer Dan Harmon for a naughty exclusive screening of the pilot episode and an insidious Q&A.

Danny and Lucy gushed about working together as father and daughter. If you recall, Lucy appeared on a few episodes of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, but Little Demon marks the first time they’re on the same playing field, roster-wise.

“Can you imagine having him as your dad? It’s a trip, but also the best. We are supportive of each other and collaborative, and now we’re working together,” Lucy said in the panel. Danny replied, “It’s a great opportunity to play a demonic character. I never get a chance to do that.” Does that make Frank Reynolds an angel?

Danny touched on reuniting with Arnold Schwarzenegger (his co-star in the 1988 comedy Twins). “He’s wonderful in Little Demon. We’re buddies; we’re very close. We’re thrilled that he’s part of our show.”

Seth Kirschner and Darcy Fowler talked about making the Antichrist relatable. Fowler touched on how the inherent nature of the mother-daughter relationship lends itself to horror, while Kirschner felt the age between 12 and 15 years old was hell on Earth. Ergo, it was easy to pull from that.

Other guest stars besides Schwarzenegger include Dave Bautista, Pamela Adlon, Patrick Wilson and the legendary Mel Brooks. Talk about a stacked cast! To make this panel even better, SDCC 2022 blessed us with a sneak peek of Little Demon, featuring Danny’s Satan and Lucy’s Chrissy meeting for the first time in the metaphysical realm.

The dialogue has a certain Dan Harmon quality, but it’s not relatively as fast-paced and quippy as Community and Rick and Morty. Danny DeVito is a legend, and he’s inexplicably perfect for this voice role. Maybe all those years as Frank prepared him for this show.

Little Demon will take us to the Fringe on Thursday, August 25, 2022, on FXX, with next-day streaming on Hulu. Watch the sneak peek below, and let us know what you think in the comments!
