DC’s “Jim Lee & Friends” panel provided fans with many exciting announcements and reveals for DC’s comic world during SDCC 2022.
During the panel, Denys Cowan, Milestone Media’s co-founder, announced a follow-up to Static: Season One. On October 4th, writer Vita Ayala and artist Nikolas Draper-Ivey, will launch Static: Shadows of Dakota. Adding to Static Shock news, Milestone’s first ever graphic novel will debut next summer. The panel gave fans a first look at the young adult graphic novel, Static: Up All Night.

In another reveal, Lee and Cowan announced an upcoming documentary coming to HBO Max, Milestone Generations. This documentary will follow the legacy of Milestone Media, the first black-owned comic book company. Milestone Generations will air on HBO Max on Friday, July 29.
With a surprise announcement, Todd McFarlane and Greg Capullo announced a collaboration on Batman/Spawn #1. This limited series one-shot will release on December 13. To mark this reunion of these two iconic characters, a Batman/Spawn War Devil reprint will release on November 15.
In another announcement, Paul Dano provided fans a first look at The Riddler: Year One, a DC Black Label Limited Series. The upcoming six-issue series gives a deeper look into the evolution of Edward Nashton’s journey from an unknown forensic accountant to the infamous scourge the Riddler.
