During SDCC 2021, Amazon Prime Video and Sony Pictures Television gave us our first look at The Wheel of Time poster art! The series kicked off Amazon’s panel, where showrunner Rafe Judkins confirmed for us that the series will premiere exclusively on Amazon’s platform worldwide this November. That’s just about four months away!
The Wheel of Time series is based on the best-selling novels from Robert Jordan. The series is set in an epic world where magic exists and only certain women are allowed to access it. The story itself follows Moiraine (Rosamund Pike), a member of the incredibly powerful all-female organization called Aes Sedai, as she arrives in the small town of Two Rivers. Along with five young men and women, Moiraine embarks on a dangerous journey. In the end, they will either save the world or destroy it. Oh, and we can’t forget to mention that one of them is prophesied to be the Dragon Reborn!
This series has been on our must-watch list since it was announced. We can’t fully put into words how exciting it is knowing we don’t have to wait much longer. Plus, Judkins already shared that Amazon has greenlit a second season for The Wheel of Time! We can not wait to see this beloved story come to life. The poster art is simple but really gets us in the high fantasy mood. My hope now is that we are going to be seeing a teaser or trailer in the next few weeks that will introduce us to even more!
We’ve linked the Amazon Prime Video panel below and The Wheel of Time segment begins at about 00:47 seconds. Just hearing how much love Judkins has for the series makes my heart full. Check it out along with the new poster and let us know how excited you are for November to get here!
