SDCC 2020: INVINCIBLE Casts 6 More Walking Dead Actors

TWD former and current cast members join Robert Kirkman's Invincible

 Invincible is quickly becoming a family reunion for members of The Walking Dead cast. Robert Kirkman is calling on his TWD family to fill roles in his latest Amazon Prime project. The most current casting includes Lauren Cohan, Chad Coleman, Michael Cudlitz, Lennie James, Ross Marquand and Sonequa Martin-Green. Kirkman made the casting announcement during his Comic-Con At Home panel on Friday.

Based on Kirkman’s Invincible comic series, Kirkman already has several famous names on board. The series stars TWD alum Steven Yeun as the main character Mark Grayson, J. K. Simmons voices Omni-Man, Mark’s father and Sandra Oh voices Mark’s mother. As for the new cast members, they will voice the Guardian’s of the Globe. Cohan voices War Woman; Coleman is Martian Man; Cudlitz is Red Rush; James voices Darkwing to; Marquand is voicing two characters, Immortal & Aquarius; and Martin-Green voices Green Ghost. This project also reunites the TWD alums with Khary Peyton, current TWD cast member.  

The series is co-created by Kirkman and Cory Walker. The comic book ran from 2003 to 2018. Here is the synopsis: Invincible is an adult animated superhero show that revolves around Mark Grayson, a normal teenager except for the fact that his father is the most powerful superhero on the planet. Shortly after his seventeenth birthday, Mark begins to develop powers of his own and enters into his father’s tutelage. The series is described as suspenseful, action-filled, and emotion-packed, yet builds upon poignant and heartwarming moments of love, friendship, and humanity.
