Heads up, Soul Squad! Your favorite messy benches, a.k.a. the cast of The Good Place, made a pit stop Saturday at San Diego Comic-Con for the motherforking panel of the century. There were laughs, tears, cheers and chants aplenty. Not to mention, dishing on the upcoming fourth and final (gasp) season of The Good Place

Now, our panelists included show runner/creator Michael SchurTed Danson (Michael), Kristen Bell (Eleanor), William Jackson Harper (Chidi), Jameela Jamil (Tahani), Manny Jacinto (Jason) and D’Arcy Carden (Janet).

So, the panel kicked off festivities with a raucous opening scene from the Season 4 premiere. Eleanor (Bell) gets Janet (Carden) to conjure an infant elephant composed of pure light to disclose the secrets of the universe. Said secrets included who really killed John F. Kennedy, what Stonehenge is all about and, um…Disco Janets? Speaking of which, Schur revealed that we’ll get to meet a new Janet in Season 4. Let the wild speculations commence, Team Cockroach!

Next, we learned that Bell directed an episode in Season 4. “I had so much fun directing all of you,” she stated to her fellow cast members. Well, mostly because they all had to listen to her. So, the lesson learned here is to never give Eleanor Shellstrop too much power. It’ll go straight to her head – just like cocktail shrimp. Bell also went on to praise Schur for his genius in creating the show. She also complimented his ability to see the potential in everyone. He even received a standing ovation for the unyielding legacy he’ll leave behind with The Good Place. Insert sobbing emoji here.

Now, what about Jason and his rockin’ 60-person dance crew? Schur vowed we’d see more of Jason’s groovy moves. Jacinto is also a well-versed enabler in getting folks to break character. The cast regaled fans with a tale of how production was delayed for an hour because they couldn’t stop laughing at a Jason one-liner. It’s because Jason is from Florida, isn’t it?

Of course, while emotions were heightened because the final season is around the corner, Jamil expressed her relief that the show will end on its own terms. “It’s so cool to know we’re completing the story as it was supposed to be completed,” she said. I, for one, can’t wait to see how shirt hits the fan this season.

Do you like gag reels? Of course you do, and The Good Place Powers That Be blessed us all with just that – a blooper reel of Season 3 highlights. Watch the video below to laugh your ash off and then some!

Are you ready for all the motherforking chaos, Soul Squad? We only have two months to wait until the beginning of the end. For now, let’s just chill in the “i” of Jeremy Bearimy. I imagine we’ll be in a perpetual state of partying, since it is Janet’s birthday, after all.

The Good Place will return for its final season Thursday September 26th on your NBC affiliate.
