Arrowverse is really stealing the show at SDCC this year! The DC superhero series’ over on the CW have been making waves with announcements on what’s to come. Yesterday we learned that during the crossover event, Crisis on Infinite Earths, actor Brandon Routh would return as Superman. Today? Legend Burt Ward, best known for playing Robin in the live-action Batman television series, will also be making an appearance.
During the Batwoman panel today, showrunner Caroline Dries spoke about how the freshman season will have a lot of actors appearing. As though it were a casual thing to bring up, she mentioned that Ward will be making an appearance as well. “We’re currently working on the crossover. We’ve got a ton, a ton, a ton of characters coming into the five-part event… Burt Ward will be making an appearance [in Crisis on Infinite Earths].”
It’s currently unclear what role Ward will be playing but I’m going to keep my fingers crossed so dang tight that he has a “holy” line. It’s a shame Adam West isn’t here to join him but at least we’re finally seeing more of Ward around!
What do you think of the news? Are you looking forward to seeing the former Boy Wonder? Let us know! Be sure to come back to Geek Girl Authority for more fun SDCC news!
