Pennyworth is having a bang-up time at this year’s comic con. For one, they previewed the premiere to fans exclusively at the convention on Wednesday night. They’ve also had an installment on site for fans to have fun in. Now they’ve been able to talk about the series in their SDCC panel. The panelists included Jack Bannon, Ben Aldridge, Paloma Faith with executive producers Danny Cannon and Bruno Heller.

Here’s What We Learned About the Series:
- Every episode of Pennyworth is stand alone, but the first season is a complete story
- Cannon revealed the series is essentially prequel to the Fox series Gotham.
- We will meet Martha Wayne very early on in and she’s a main character in the series
- “Bizarre. Dark. Sexy. Weird.” – how Jack Bannon described the series
- Paloma Faith is stoked to be playing a female villain who isn’t defined by her sexuality – can I get an amen?!
- Both Thomas Wayne and Alfred fall in love with Martha
Fun Quotes:
