The Batwoman panel is going to be a little different tomorrow. Actress Ruby Rose announced that she is unable to attend SDCC this year. The actress uploaded a video to her Instagram apologizing to fans for the last minute pull out.

“I will, unfortunately, not be able to make it to Comic-Con this year, and it is devastating,” she explained to fans. She admitted that she always wanted to go to Comic Con and never thought she would be invited as a guest. With Batwoman premiering this fall, her face is plastered everywhere around the con as well so it would have been even more special for the actress. Alas, it was not meant to be. In fact, the reason why she can’t attend is because she’s filming an “ambitious” episode that’s taking production a bit longer to do. “We want you to love it and be proud of it and be entertained, and to laugh and to cry and to be empowered. And that means that in this particular instance, I’ve got to work and bring Kate Kane and Batwoman to the screen and not Ruby to a panel.”

Rose finished the video by apologizing to fans and promising to make it up to them. While this is an unfortunate situation, it could be viewed as a good thing. Commitment to making the show better is always a good thing in my book! It will be interesting to see how the panel tomorrow will play out without her but the show must go on! We’re sure to get a lot of goodies to make up for her lack of presence, right? Right.
