We have our first full Disenchantment trailer thanks to SDCC and it’s quite charming. We have a better look at the world and our misfit characters who will journey off on adventure together. And they’ll be leaving a lot of messes in their wake. They’re rebel, rebels.
Princess Bean is supposed to marry a prince of another kingdom. But when she refuses and he gets his head stuck on a thrones of swords (I see you, easy Game of Thrones reference), she goes off to find out who she’s meant to be. Joining her on the quest is her small companion Elfo and her personal demon named Luci. They’re off on adventures around Dreamland and beyond! Though her father King Zog might have a problem with it.

Disenchantment marks Matt Groening third TV series and a first released on streaming services. While I’ve never been a huge Simpsons fan, I usually ended up liking episodes of Futurama. And boy do I love me some medieval fantasy. So I’ll be checking it out! This also marks a first for Groening with his main protagonist being a woman. How will they fair writing a young woman? Hopefully much better than they’ve handled other issues of late.
