Marvel’s The Gifted season one set up the world of mutants after the X-Men disappeared. Season two shows us what happens when a new power emerges into the world. The Gifted cast presented the trailer for season two at San Diego Comic Con 2018. And things are about to get intense.
It seems that there has always been two sides of thinking when it comes to the mutants in this world. There are those who want to live peacefully among non-mutants. And those who believe mutants should take over the world. They were given a gift for a reason, right. The two sides used to be called the X-men and The Brotherhood, but they are gone now. We are left with the Mutant Underground, those who want peace, but have to hide to stay safe from Sentinel Services. And The Inner Circle, led by one of the most powerful mutants, Reeva Payge (Grace Byers).

This is quite the predicament for Marcos/Eclipse (Sean Teale) and the Struckers. If you recall Lorna Dane/Polaris (Emma Dumont) and Andy Strucker (Percy Hynes-White) both joined the Inner Circle at the end of season one. Lorna is also pregnant with Marcos’ baby. They’ve been told the Inner Circle will kill Lorna and Andy before letting them go. The mutants not only have to fight the inner circle, they are still running from Sentinel Services. I’m sure the SS has come up with some new tech to detain the mutants. There are two big moments in the trailer to watch for. 1.) Reed Strucker (Stephen Moyer) getting his mutant powers. 2.) Lorna giving birth. OH and look for the Morlocks.
