The Aquaman trailer debuted today at SDCC and it’s amazing! We got to see a bit of the Atlantean culture, a bit of the origin story, incredible action set pieces and so much more! Here’s what goes down in our first solo adventure with Arthur Curry aka Aquaman.
It begins as most beginnings do, with the birth of a child. The lighthouse keeper father and Queen of Atlantis mother have a child that could unite the world of land and sea together. Though Arthur was bullied as a child, he made his own way through life. And with that, he doesn’t believe he’s worthy of the crown. But his decision may be made for him as his half brother, King Orm, is ready to bring war upon land. Arthur must fight for his kingdom to save those he loves and the world he’s always known.

Let me just say it now – Atlantis looks SUPER COOL! If you’re a fan of Black Panther, then think of Wakanda but under water and so much more bright. There’s sea life everywhere and as I mentioned, their culture looks really interesting. I’m hoping we get to explore more of the seven seas in this film but, seeing as it’s an origin story, it may not happen. The action also looks incredible. Mera just dove right out of a plane! Holy crap! I need to see more! In the mean time, it looks incredibly promising and I can’t wait for December.
