American Horror Story

It’s almost a tradition for Ryan Murphy to reveal the American Horror Story theme at San Diego Comic Con. And it’s all leading to the Apocalypse.

Eight seasons in and we’re finally getting a crossover. The creepy anthology of stories is said to be connected in more ways than casting. There was one tiny crossover previously in season six. AHS: Freak Show featured a character from season 2 AHS: Asylum. But this is the first true crossover, combining season one AHS: Murder House and season three AHS: Coven

The key art gives us some idea of what to expect. In season one, a child was born from a human mother and ghostly father. Having an unnatural parentage pretty much guarantees the kid is evil. He did murder his nanny at the end of season one, after all. That leads fans to question if Jessica Lange will return as Constance Langdon.

For know we know that  Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Kathy Bates, Emma Roberts, Cheyenne Jackson, Billie Lourd, Billy Eichner, Adina Porter, and Leslie Grossman will return for season eight.  Joining them will be Joan Collins (Dynasty),  Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman (UnReal) and Kyle Allen (The Path).   Murphy has invited Taissa Farmiga and Gabourey Sidibe from season two to return as well.

More details should be released as we close in on the premiere. American Horror Story: Apocalypse premieres Wednesday September 12 on FX.
