SDCC 2017: SQUARE ENIX Brings Hands-On Demos to San Diego Comic Con

Renee Lopez

In just a few days dedicated fans, geeks, nerds, and gamers from all over the country will converge in San Diego for the 2017 San Diego Comic Con. It will be a 4-day geekfest of pop culture news, panels, signings, and cosplay.

In addition to all of our favorite shows and movies being represented at Comic Con this year, gamers will also get a chance to get hands-on at the Square Enix booth (#3829). Square Enix has announced that they will be hosting a variety of gaming experiences for anyone who visits their booth.

Attendees will get a preview of the recently released Final Fantasy XII The Zodiac Age, as well as Dissidia Final Fantasy NT and they will get a first-ever opportunity to play the Tokyo RPG Factory game Lost Sphear. As for swag, winners of each free round of Dissidia Final Fantasy NT will receive an exclusive Warrior of Light Gil Coin (while supplies last, of course).

There will be two Dissidia Final Fantast NT tournaments being held at the Square Enix booth throughout the weekend. If you want more information, you will have to visit the booth.

On Friday at 6:30pm in Room 24ABC, Andrea Rene of What’s Good Games will host a Life is Strange: Before the Storm panel. She will be joined by the developers behind the series who will present new information about the game. Audience members will be able to participate in a Q&A and the Deck Nine developers will play the game live for all to see.

To recap, attendees that visit the Square Enix booth will be able to play Dissidia Final Fantasy NT, Final Fantasy The Zodiac Age and Lost Sphear. There’s also a chance to win a sweet piece of swag with the Warrior of Light gil coin and an opportunity to participate in a Dissidia Final Fantasy NT tournament. It looks like Square Enix knows what to give their fans.

Final Fantasy XII The Zodiac Age is available now for the PlayStation 4. Dissidia Final Fantasy NT will be released in early 2018 for the PlayStation 4. Lost Sphear will be released in 2018 for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and PC via Steam.
