Gallery Takeover
At the Michael J. Wolf Fine Arts Gallery (363 Fifth Avenue), Star Trek fans are all welcome, even those without Comic-Con badges! CBS will host a “fully immersive” exhibit that will feature the U.S.S. Discovery’s captain’s chair! In addition, props, costumes, and artwork from Star Trek: Discovery will be on display. There will be an official SDCC shop on site and a limited number of official exclusive posters will be handed out to attendees. The gallery takeover will last all through SDCC, from Thursday, July 20, to Sunday, July 23.

Panel Reveal
The official Star Trek: Discovery panel has been announced! Several cast members will join the executive producers to discuss the show and introduce Discovery to the fans. Cast members will include Sonequa Martin-Green (Michael Burnham), Jason Isaacs (Captain Lorca), Doug Jones (Lieutenant Saru), Shazad Latif (Lieutenant Tyler), Mary Wiseman (Cadet Tilly), Anthony Rapp (Lieutenant Stamets), and James Frain (Sarek). Executive producers in attendance will be Alex Kurtzman (producer: Star Trek (2009), Star Trek: Into Darkness), Gretchen J. Berg (producer: Pushing Daisies), Heather Kadin (producer: Scorpion), Aaron Harberts (producer: Pushing Daisies), and Akiva Goldsman (producer: The Dark Tower, Fringe).
The panel will be held on Saturday, July 22, at 2:30pm in Ballroom 20 and be moderated by fellow cast member Rainn Wilson (The Office, Adventure Time), who will play conman Harcourt Fenton “Harry” Mudd.
New Posters!
In the lead up to SDCC, CBS released TWO new posters for ST:Discovery! They have a very gorgeous retro vibe with their bright and bold colors, quite the homage to Star Trek: The Original Series and the show’s origins. These posters may just be SDCC exclusives, so if you get one, treasure it!

Anyone Want Free Rides?
Star Trek: Discovery is sponsoring pedicabs this year! All through SDCC, attendees can get free rides around the area in a pedicab designed after the U.S.S. Discovery’s captain’s chair – complete with video screens built into the arm rests. The screens will show the trailer for the show and have an illuminated delta shield behind the headrest.

A Challenge for the Fans: #TREKDISCOVERY
CBS wants their Star Trek fans to fully interact with their environment! Friday and Saturday, fans are tasked with finding FIVE different Trek ambassadors AND sitting in the Discovery Captain’s Chair for a chance to win a Roku and a subscription to CBS All Access.

Fans can take part in the #TrekDiscovery Challenge when they encounter an array of authentically costumed Trek ambassadors, representing crews from five of the Star Trek television series (The Original Series, The Next Generation, Deep Space Nine, Voyager and Enterprise). Fans who post photos of themselves with each of the five series’ crews – and also in the Discovery captain’s chair at the Michael J. Wolf Fine Arts Gallery – and who tag all six photos with the #TrekDiscovery challenge hashtag on Twitter or Instagram, will be eligible to win a Roku streaming stick and a subscription to CBS All Access. Prizes will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. Fans can find clues regarding the location of the #TrekDiscovery crews by following @StarTrek on Twitter and Instagram.
