BBC America won’t have a large presence, but will have one of the most emotional. Only set to bring two panels during the weekend, one of them will be very significant. It will Peter Capaldi‘s last SDCC as The Doctor. As we know, Capaldi’s last appearance as The Doctor will be in the Christmas special airing later this year.
Stars Capaldi, Pearl Mackie, Matt Lucas, and Michelle Gomez with actor/writer Mark Gatiss and showrunner Steven Moffat are attending. They promise to show an exclusive look at the Doctor Who Christmas special during the panel. While it’s highly unlikely they’ll reveal who the new Doctor is, it will be a bittersweet time with Capaldi. It will be hosted by fan favorite Chris Hardwick.

They’re also set to bring Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency to precede the emotional panel. Stars Elijah Wood, Samuel Barnett, Hannah Marks, Jade Eshete, Fiona Dourif, Mpho Koaho, Alan Tudyk, and Tyler Labine, along with creator Max Landis and showrunner Robert Cooper. The panel will be hosted by Kevin Smith giving fans a look at season 2 as well as a talk about season 1.

Season two premieres this fall on BBC AMERICA.
