Christina Hodson has been brought on to pen the script for the upcoming Harley Quinn movie. The Wrap has learned that the film will not only be a Harley Quinn movie but also a Birds of Prey film! We had rumors circulating that Margot Robbie, who plays Harley Quinn, had wanted to make a female-centric DC film. Though Warner Brothers has not made official comment on the project and which characters will be included, it at least has the ball rolling!
Robbie starred as Harley Quinn in this summer’s Suicide Squad. And while the film received mixed reviews, Robbie’s performance seemed to be a highlight on most everyone’s list. She has fallen in love with Harley (like the rest of us) and appears to want to continue playing her, as she is attached to the film, both acting and producing.
Hodson has also been making waves, penning the upcoming Transformers spinoff, Bumblebee. She’s also worked on a reboot of The Fugitive. However she is best known for her screenplay of the thriller Shut In, starring Naomi Watts.
