Good morning fellow Webtoon readers and welcome to this week’s installment of Saturday Morning Webtoons! This is where we shine a light on two Webtoons we are thoroughly enjoying. These stories have had us captivated chapter after chapter each week and we couldn’t pass up sharing them with you! So grab your favorite snacks, an electronic device and settle into these sensational stories.

Moonsia‘s The Witch and the Bull follows Aro, a beautiful witch just trying to run her coffee shop. That is until Tan, the King’s royal advisor shows up and causes quite a stir. The two clearly don’t get along and go their separate ways. But of course, Tan’s job makes him the prime target for a witch curse that turns him into a literal Bull, tail and all. Now the only one who can save him is the coffee shop owner Aro. But can he put aside his hatred and distrust for witches? Is Aro’s kindness enough to turn his feelings around and break the spell? Let’s hope, or signing off on all those royal decrees are going to be pretty hard to sign with hooves.

If there is one thing that stands out from The Witch and the Bull, it would be the beautiful art style of Moonsia. The first time I saw Aro use her bow to cast a spell it was beyond beautiful. The way Moonsia uses everything from the character, to the foreground to the background to bring the whole shot together is simply perfect. The story itself has its own alluring charm. Watching as Tan and Aro interact and grow together and separate is heartwarming. While Tan begins the story as a less than likable character, you will find yourself quickly rooting for him to succeed.

Austen Marie‘s Soul on Hold is full of the supernatural mystery we need and love. You see Ayden is living a pretty normal life if you ignore the voice in his head that haunts him 24/7 and a scar that no one but himself can see. That is until he realizes the barista, Maggie, that he has been flirting with can see it too. Between the two of them, they realize that the voice in his head is actually a servant of a demonic force. This demonic collects souls once they have matured on their 30th birthday. And guess whose birthday is coming up? If you guessed Ayden then you are right! Now he needs to partner up with Maggie to find a way to change his fate before it’s too late.

Soul on Hold has a little bit of everything! While it defines itself as supernatural, it also has mystery, humor, action and even some romance. There is a little bit of something for everyone to enjoy. Ayden and Maggie’s determination to change their fate is one of my favorite parts of this story. It isn’t an easy feat, but their struggles make for some entertaining moments along with some action-packed scenes. Austen Marie’s world is one you can definitely find yourself lost within while simultaneously falling in love with every side character Ayden and Maggie come into contact with.
