The Four of Them

The Four of Them WEBTOON Original Series.

This week’s Saturday Morning Webtoons is all about celebrating National Hispanic Heritage Month! Our first series is Mai Hirschfeld‘s The Four of Them. The story follows four friends, Johnny, Mariel, Gaby and Martina, as they lean on each other to make it through the horrors of high school. Like getting crushed by your crush. Coming out to your parents. Or even learning that your own sister is your biggest dating rival. It’s a tough life out here, but those who stick together make it out with their smile and sanity intact.

The Four of Them is one of my favorite drama/coming-of-age/coming-out stories on the WEBTOON platform. Hirschfeld has a way of telling that story with such a real feeling. You can imagine yourself in their shoes and laugh, cry and be embarrassed right along with them. It’s a story that will pull at your heartstrings while also giving that wholesome, happy feeling. And since it is well into its fourth season, now is the perfect time to dive in and get caught up on all the drama it offers.

The Four of Them updates every Monday and can be read here!

Señorita Cometa

Señorita Cometa WEBTOON Original Series.

Our second series is Arechan‘s Señorita Cometa. Two mafia families dictate the law in the crime-ridden city of Yoalco. Most of the citizens are fine placing hope in the hands of the police, but Alex isn’t one of them. Instead, she is ready to take justice into her own hands as the Phantom Thief Cometa when she finds herself powerless after her best friend disappears. Now she spends her time uncovering a net of corruption and crime that goes deeper than she ever imagined possible.

This isn’t the first series of Arechan’s that we have fallen in love with, and it certainly won’t be the last. Señorita Cometa is new on my list but instantly became a must-read-every-week-no-questions-asked series after I finished the first chapter. It’s packed with mystery, action and tons of drama. Plus, the art style and color palette are some of my favorites in a series. It is just getting started, so now is a perfect time (honestly, is there an unperfect time to start a new series?) to jump in on the action.

Señorita Cometa updates every Saturday and can be read here!
