Good morning fellow Webtoon readers and welcome to our first installment of Saturday Morning Webtoons! This is where we shine a light on two Webtoons we are thoroughly enjoying. These stories have had us captivated chapter after chapter each week and we couldn’t pass up sharing them with you! So grab your favorite snacks, an electronic device and settle into these sensational stories.
Stray Souls

If I had to describe Maf‘s Stray Souls in one word, it would be enchanting. The story follows Eylin, who has no memory of her early life. She is a student at House Navreal where they are teaching them to weave soul strings. These strings are what link one’s mind to its body. Eylin struggles to perfect the ability, mostly due to her unique soul structure. However, this uniqueness stops outside magical manipulation. This will come in handy when she becomes the last person standing between the Amethyst King and his quest for ultimate power.
The story-building in Stray Souls is top-notch. There is so much happening in the first few chapters as we are introduced to Eylin, her best friend Niraim and the other inhabitants of this world. We also get to experience the first of many mysteries readers will be introduced to through this journey. Eylin is such a likable protagonist who is just trying to make the most of her situation. We are fully invested in her mission to stop the Amethyst King and learning more about our favorite white-haired boy Vaekal.
Stray Souls updates every Sunday and can be read here.
Muted

If Stray Souls is enchanting then Miranda Mundt‘s Muted is bewitching. Camille Severin is a witch from a prestigious family with a long line and wealthy and powerful witches in New Orleans. Unfortunately, Camille has never felt like she was truly apart of her family regardless of her close friendship with her cousin Avaline. During the full moon on her 21st birthday, she participates in a traditional ritual to summon a winged demon. However, things go terribly wrong, revealing some terrifying truths about herself. She also learns secrets that could tear her family apart.
If supernatural Webtoons are your thing then Muted is a must-read. Camille at the beginning of the series has so much doubt about who she really is. But as the story progresses she begins to learn more about herself. This not only gives her confidence as a witch but also with her own sexuality as she pursues her relationship with Nyra. But this journey isn’t simple and Camille goes head to head against physical and emotional demons. The way Miranda weaves this story is beautiful as the background art twists and turns magically though the story.
Muted updates every Friday and can be read here.
