Good morning fellow WEBTOON readers, and welcome to this week’s installment of Saturday Morning Webtoons! This is where we shine a light on two WEBTOONs we are thoroughly enjoying. These stories have had us captivated chapter after chapter each week, and we couldn’t pass up sharing them with you! SOULWINDER
The spooky season continues this week with Android_k05 and WmW‘s thriller, SOULWINDER. Lyllian’s worst day ever ends in complete tragedy when her date is murdered by someone who shouldn’t even exist. She struggles for survival as she unravels the mystery of her world and who the Soulwinders really are. Is it true that they have the potential to recover what she has lost? Or is Lyllian heading down a path of destruction? Just remember the most important thing – don’t calm down.
One of the things I love about the thriller genre is that it can mix itself with almost any other genre. We’ve seen thriller/romance, thriller/historical, thriller/supernatural, and now we have thriller/fantasy/steampunk. The world created within SOULWINDER is super unique, and I can’t wait to explore more of it as the story continues. Plus, this isn’t the kind of thriller that throws scary stuff in your face. It’s a slow-burn style that messes with your head and has you questioning everything.

It’s Mine
Our second WEBTOON thriller for this week is LuckS’ It’s Mine. There is absolutely nothing that Yohan Do doesn’t know about his crush, Dajeong. He knows where she sits in class. He knows where she works after school lets out and what she does when she isn’t working. And he even knows where she lives. It’s a shame that he isn’t able to approach her, so Yohan spends his days watching her every move from afar. There isn’t any length or anything Yohan wouldn’t go to protect his sweet Dajeong.
Talk about a bait and switch! I knew I was going into It’s Mine with the understanding that this was going to be a stalker/thriller series. But the entire first chapter will have you hoping that Yohan will just get the courage to talk to his crush. Then you will realize just how deranged Yohan is. I spent a lot of the series questioning if the situations Dejeong found herself in were real or created by Yohan. And the more you learn about Dejeong, the more you wonder if she is really this sweet and innocent girl.
