I’ve got video games on the brain thanks to E3 and now is the perfect time to talk about Mongie‘s series Let’s Play. The story follows Sam, a young, smart, creative game designer who dreams of creating entertaining video games. That is until one popular streamer gives it a nasty review. Things just get worse when Sam learns that he is her new neighbor! And that is just scratching the surface! This series will have you laughing, crying, screaming and so much more as we navigate the world of gaming, memes and social anxiety!

If you are a reader of Webtoons, chances are you have at least heard of Let’s Play. If you are someone who has been putting off reading this series because you think it’s not worth the hype, I am here to tell you that you couldn’t be more wrong. It is worth all the hype and then times that by a billion and then add a ton more. This webtoon has diverse/LGBTQIA+/disability representation throughout its cast and dives into series issues just as much as it dives into the comedic side. You will definitely find something within the chapters to love.

Let’s Play is currently on hiatus until July 5, 2021. So, now is the time to get caught up on seasons one and two here!

No Scope

Another video game Webtoon series on our minds is Zoyang‘s No Scope. PSI Bond is the hottest online game in the world and self-confident high schooler Suho Kang is a Grand Master. This title is no joke! It is one only the top 1% of players can achieve! To give back to the community, Suho decides to take the utterly clueless Doyoon Lee under his wing. But there is more than meets the eye and this loner might just be a gaming genius! Suho and Doyoon are in for one wild ride between the battlefield in PSI Bond and the real world high school.

I’m sure you can think of a game or two that has taken the world by storm. In No Scope, things aren’t any different. People are eating, breathing and living PSI Bond and it is terrifyingly relatable. But don’t be afraid, friends, this is worth the read! It has great pacing, an engaging storyline and characters who you will be rooting for the entire way through. The icing on the cake? The art style is amazing! Zoyang puts in so much more to bring out the detail in every scene, both in the real world and within PSI Bond.

No Scope updates every Friday and can be read here!
